The Illusion of Control
So, the CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) is patting itself on the back for "negotiating" prices for Ozempic, Wegovy, and other drugs. Negotiating? Let's be real, it's more like a slightly less insulting price gouge. They want us to believe that this is some huge victory for the common person, a David vs. Goliath moment where the government stood up to Big Pharma. But are they really? Then again, maybe I'm the crazy one here. Maybe I'm just a bitter old man yelling at clouds. But even if that's true, I'd rather be a crazy old man than a sheep blindly following the herd.
